☕ Why You'll Love It

Looking for something clean, naturally sweet, and a little different? This coffee is a great place to start.

This coffee strikes a great balance between sweetness and complexity. The natural processing adds rich fruit character while the cup stays smooth and approachable. If you're ready to branch out from traditional chocolate-forward coffees without jumping into something too wild, this is an excellent choice.

🍫 What It Tastes Like

🍇 Grape Jelly • 🍬 Butterscotch • ☕ Lingering, Sweet Finish

👨‍🔬 Bryce's Recommendation

If you're curious about naturally processed coffees but don't want something that's overly funky, this is exactly where I'd start. It has enough fruit to be interesting, plenty of sweetness to keep it approachable, and it's one of those coffees that's just plain enjoyable to drink.

🫖 Brew Methods

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pour Over

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Drip Coffee Maker

⭐⭐⭐ Espresso

⭐ French Press

Bryce's Pick: Pour over. It highlights the coffee's sweetness and lets the fruit notes really shine.

🌎 About This Coffee

High in the mountains of Marcala, Honduras, a group of 62 coffee farmers came together in 2000 with a shared vision: produce exceptional coffee while caring for both their land and their communities. That vision became COMSA (Café Orgánico Marcala, S.A.), a cooperative dedicated to organic farming and sustainable practices.

Just one year later, COMSA earned organic certification, opening new opportunities to connect directly with specialty coffee buyers around the world. Their commitment to quality and responsible farming continued to grow, and in 2006 the cooperative achieved Fair Trade certification—ensuring that every harvest helps support the people who make it possible.

Today, Fair Trade premiums generated through COMSA help fund local schools, pay teachers' salaries, provide classroom supplies, and support school meal programs for children throughout the region. Every bag represents not only generations of coffee-growing knowledge, but also an investment in stronger, healthier communities.

This coffee is a reflection of what specialty coffee can be when exceptional craftsmanship, environmental stewardship, and community come together in every harvest.
